WHAT YOU WILL SEE
This is a 1.5 hour guided bus tour of Rio Tinto Dampier Salt’s operation where production begins with seawater from the Indian Ocean evaporated to become hypersaline and then poured into the salt crystalliser ponds where it grows the salt. You’ll visit the production area where you can touch samples of the salt in its raw form while taking photos of the salt stack and operations.
A fully air-conditioned bus tour and the opportunity to get off the bus to take photos, learn about harvesting the salt and feel the salt in its raw form while taking pictures of the salt stack and operations.
